Dr Dre is the president bitches!! No that would have been more entertaining though. Instead Barack Hobeema steps in. Now I won’t mix words on my dislike for George Bush, and it is my hope that a strong democratic government south of the border will usher in a sea of change for the U.S. We will see, every candidate ever has election campaign promises that sound like the future is all sunshine and loli pops. It was really bothering me last night when every channel i watched for election coverage, the only thing they were talking about was the race factor. Now don’t get me wrong this is a huge step forward for eqaulity in the U.S and I hope it helps move the world forward. But there was very little mention of anything else. The whole election was fun to watch for me, especially when McCain made a last ditch effort not to seem as old and dying as he truly was and brought in his runing mate. Who might i add after following the campaign for a while, might just be one of the stupidest people on earth. Hey not a bad try, Old near death guy brings in split tailed bobble head to make his campaign more “hip”. In fact the only hip in McCains campaign was the fact if he walked to fast his Hips would break. Im not being sexist she is just dumb, like Moe with no pants on inside the Druid type dumb (without the wang). Overall some pretty big news worldwide i think, a pretty big step forward for our society. Now look at Canada our outrageously exciting Prime Minister is sure to have the same kind of dramatic affect on the world, what was his name again??

Thats how i see it

Well I’m glad that’s over, i watched last evening the so called election coverage. With occasional breaks to flick back to the ball game. What a nail biter, the Conservatives had a minority going in to the election. So in a effort to set goals, the wanted to come out of this election with a majority government. To the surprise of no one, the failed to achieve a majority, and again have a slightly more powerful minority. Which should mean very little to Canadians. If they had a majority that could potentially mean that, if for instance they had a controversial bill in the house of commons they could have it passed as there party holds the majority of the popular vote. That is of course assuming all the MP’s would vote in favour of the bill set fourth by there particular party. After they remove there knee pads and picking the pubes out of there teeth, they will almost always go with the values of there respective parties. After all one would hate to stand up and vote on a bill with there constituents concerns in mind and not there own salary. That’s crazy talk though, i know the billions of dollars we spend to have question periods where the two sides argue is very important. Think about it for a second, If the governing party passes a bill in the house for education spending or ending the war in Afghanistan. When the vote is held to see if all the members of the house of commons can approve the bill with a majority vote, big surprise the opposition opposes the bill. Wow what a novel idea, so when you are the oppostion party you go against the will of your competition. I realize im questioning democratic process here…But am I? Democracy by its very definition is a form of government in which the supreme power is held completely by the people under a free electoral system. When a MP is elected in a particular riding, is it unreasonable to expect them to make the right decisions for there constituents even if it goes against the values of there particular party. It shouldn’t be, but it is.

Secondly I was amazed nearly every riding has a Green Party member running. Wow what a feeling to be runing for a party with such a diverse political platform. I wonder what there stand on foreign policy is, maybe if North Korea points a Nuke at Canada the would sprinkle Bio Diesel on the front lines, or recycle enough to convince the North Koreans to give Peace a chance. What a crock of shit, I personally do not see the point of having all of these start up political parties. Im not an expert on all of this stuff but i know for sure there exists a Marijuana Party, Communist Party, and probably more that i don’t know about. What kind of f#$%ing retard expects a semi educated voter to vote for a political party centered around an illegal drug? You cant even have a trace of this substance in your possession by law, yet lets create a political party centered around lt. Imagine if they ever got to power, once they legalized pot then what? Head over to England and toke up a reefer with Tony Blair and the Queen? Get F@#*ed. Communist party? Im pretty sure It doesn’t make any sense to base a party around a form of government completely contradictory to the type of government it is tryingto get ELECTED underneath.

So the election came and passed with as much excitement as a case of diarrhea, and we are left in the same position as before it happened. The Conservatives had an underlying plan as to there election timing, and don’t gobble up the propaganda of the possibility to achieving a majority government. They knew with pre electoral polls what the public’s opinion was, they called this election with one thought in mind only, U.S.A. If you were the conservative party holding a minority government, would you not desire to have the election come and go with no one paying enough attention to change the elected political party. You have in the States a huge and might I say very Interesting, campaign going on at the moment(a whole different blog topic). With a Black candidate on one side and a women VP candidate on the other, no shortage of news created there. So Harper calls an election, right in the middle of it all. Stephan Dion has verbal down syndrome, and any non french speaking voter would have noticed that. So Harper kept pretty quiet, did not say much and waited for Dion to dig his own grave. Then like a true gentlemen, jumped all over him on issues like the proposed “Carbon Tax”. Valiant and noble Indeed. I found it humorous how when the markets crashed not much was said, of coarse Dion jumped all over it and blamed the Conservatives. Then after it rebounded a bit and never took the dive of some of the other nations, Harper comes out as the hero?

Anyway enough rambling, the Conservatives got what they really wanted more time in power. The liberals got smoked and you will see Dion stepping down shortly. The NDP gained more seats as did the Greens, and even the independents got 1 more seat. So what is the Canadian public left with? A increasingly inefficient minority government. More seats for MP’s with different party values, which by assumption would mean more inefficiency when trying to govern the country. A will stay impartial on this blog as to which party i support, but either way i think a mojority government would be more useful in governing this country.

Oh Canada, Thats the way I see it.

Hockey time again kids, time for some random thoughts on the ‘08 version of the Oil. First a look at the rest of the teams in the conference. The wings will once again be ridiculous, if perhaps they have a flaw its in goal. But wait if Osgood should falter or die of old age, they do have cough the puck up behind the net, choke like no one has before, complete waste of skin that cost the Oilers the cup…. Conklin. The Stars are still very solid no big additions but will be top 3 in the conference. San Jose made some big improvements on the blue line, and having Marleau out of Ron Wilson’s dog house and back on the Top line should help. So there is your best three teams in the conference, now the Northwest will be a tough spot to get points. Calgary as much as i hate to say it, are a much better team than this time last year. Minny will be solid, and defensive and f@#$ing boring to watch. Vancouver won’t be as bad as everyone is thinking, the still have the retard twins and a pretty soild goalie who can steal them games. Colorado is a mystery, Sakic is old, Smyth seems to get injured alot so with the exception of there youngs guys who knows? So you add Anaheim, a Chicago team that is full of good young players who will get better, and there are not a lot of ployoff spots left open.

The second thing for me is the sports writers who always pick the Canadian teams to finish higher than should be expected. So you have in the east the Habs, who should have a decent team, will be a dissapointmentif they don’t get to the finals at least. My favorite thing about the upcoming season will be how much the leafs suck. If you turn on TSN or Sportsnet you will have a 30 second blurb about how the Oilers did last night, and then a half hour segment on Tlusty wagging his dick around on the Internet. So Tlusty how do you feel about havingpictures of you wagging your dick on the Internet surface? Who gives a flying F$%#!!! Now if Fletcher was in a three way sex triangle with Sundin’s mom and Kubinas webbed footed great aunt from Fatfuckistan, that on the other hand would be good T.V. Ron Wilson told the media that he did not want the players to worry about wins and losses, just getting better as a team. I know of one place where players go to learn how to play in the NHL, THE FUCKING MINORS. Either way should be fun to watch, I can see the reporters in a tailspin now. Just think of how they will come up with the questions to ask, well if they suck and they know they suck then I cant ask them why they suck, riveting. The Sens will be good again, there blue line is weaker, there goal tending is the shits, but they will score a lot of goals.

Finally the Oilers, i got way the hell off topic as this was meant to be the point of the blog. Im gonna split this up into what i like about the team and what blows ass.

Likes: Cole is fast and works hard-MacIntyre beat the ever living piss out of Vandermeer-Horcoffs healthy-The kid line should do OK-Sourays mean and will break peoples ankles if he misses the net with his shot-Garon hopefully can keep Roli on the pine-The throw back 3rd jerseys-lamp

Dislikes: The Zach attack-Pouliot made the team?? WTF-The 4 million dollar back up-Adding a micro manager, soon they will have to hire a VP of popcorn and beer quality-Pisani, though he was the favorite son in the cup run, he’s average at best-Penner, where to start here, slow, shoots like a pee wee, and makes more than a lot of very good players in the league-Sending down Brule, thought he was the best skater in the preseason.

There you have it, feel free to go to your local Sports Select retailer and bet your mortgage on this information, its damn solid. Naughtys first Blog done with, remember if you have to piss, piss on a flames fan.
