I know a lot of people don’t care as I’m pretty confident my last blog was almost about when I updated it last and I havent seen an ounce of traffic headed this way but Hotstickybun 5 *cough* the 11th version *cough* is slowly upon us, by us I mean me, and by Hotstickybun 5 I mean Hotstickybun HTML5.

What does that mean to anyone not interested in the web? Nothing. What does that mean for some huge dork such as myself? Well nothing either for the most part, it was just a waste of time I used in the evening to somewhat experiment with this so called new direction in web development called HTML5. Most users of HSB won’t notice anything different and frankly there isn’t a whole lot under the hood that is different and of course there is still a lot of stuff that needs to be finished but I wanted to get this up and running before I took off to Vegas and then eventually Mexico.

A Result I’m Finally OK With

I’ve been designing, changing, redesigning, re-changing, and trying just about everything to get this website to the next level but I think now I’ve come to the conclusion it just won’t happen with the amount of time I have available to put into it. Ultimately it falls on keeping it updated first and foremost and the past year I have done anything but that. With hockey, work, other graphic and web design, and the occasional party HSB hasn’t been given the love it deserves. Gone are the things that have made it a success like the photos and frequently added blogs and added were things I thought would make more people visit. Boy was I wrong!

Needless to say I figured that last hack job of a website needed to be redone and I had to focus more so on the things that got this website to where it was. Gone is all the added clutter, the only thing to survive was the drunk dials feature which Im hoping will still be a hit. It hasn’t gotten a lot of attention just yet but some of the messages I have received have been fairly entertaining.

Finally

With that said HSB will make a return to prominence this summer with things like my trip to Vegas, Seal’s stag party in Mexico (which I’m sure someone won’t be coming home from – not a good thing to say when we are headed to Mexico), about 5 weddings to attend, and who knows maybe the Fat Olympics will finally return this summer. It’s been talked about for years but with a new pool being discussed for our property it might be time to make it a reality.
