Watching Snowboard Cross and womens downhill has been great. I love hockey and it will be the best youll see at any point of the year but I watch and play it all year, I love watching all the other shindizzle. I just wish I would have went there to partake. ]]> By: jubey http://www.hotstickybun.com/2010/02/15/winter-olympics/comment-page-1#comment-6477 jubey Fri, 19 Feb 2010 01:28:25 +0000 http://www.hotstickybun.com/?p=717#comment-6477 fave moments.... -the awesome volunteers in van helping everyone get to where they need to be...they are all over the place, hand out hot chocolate in long lines, are extremely pleasant and made me very proud to be canadian -standing ovation for french figure skating pairs for giving a flawless and inspiring performance...prob nobody watching on tv even knew they got the first standing O cuz they didnt win a medal but they were clearly the crowd fave and hope to see them in the future -a turkish couple sitting in front of us at the pair skating decked out in all their turkey gear, wearing canadian hats and cheering for literally EVERYONE....so happy to be there and definitely enjoying the sport and themselves -half the stadium having a cheer off against american fans at the mens curling... -walking downtown van when canada won its first gold medal...indescribable!! best part about olympics? Canadians getting together to celebrate their athletes and their country...never got so many high fives, met so many cool ppl from all over the world or saw so many ppl wearing the same outfits....
