It's a growing concern and the sad thing is with all these fluffs running the world they cant come to an agreement about how big of an issue this is going forward. We deliberate and talk about it but how much action is really being forced?

THe lone bright spot is that with the advances in science stuff like this may be able to work it's way out. There is bacteria that eats garbage and effectively turns that into energy. I don't know how it works but I've been reading about it and keep thinking to myself why aren't we trying to put that into effect in the next 5 years.

Still that shit won't on stuff like plastic and glass which ultimately is our biggest concern. It's a gross world out there and with how many fucking people our fucking pumping out babies the waste is going to be tripling and quadrupling pretty shortly.

Theres another damn issue, population control christ this planet is becoming a dump!

The seriousness of this post should not be over looked. Much like Walks, I am not innocent when it comes to being 100% environmentally concious at all times, but I too try to do my part. The effects of pollution are much deeper then suits the eye on most occasions. Its really quiet nasty what we do to the wonderful piece of dirt we live on. The worlds population is growing at an alarming rate, and with more people comes excessive pollution. We in Canada may not notice how big of a global issue it is as we have such a large mass of "land per person" that we dont see it. Other countries around the world have about 25 ft/person of living space, and they live in filth, and gross pollution all the time. One of my biggest issues is a city like LA. Mid Summer you arent able to see the Hollywood Hills due to the smog created by methods of transportation. I am pretty sure alot of people dont frequent the local garbage facilities. I however made a few trips over the past few years. I can say this. Dawson Creek had a land fill that it took probably 35 years to fill. Its full to the nuts, and has been since 2003. In the years since 03, an existing landfill has been revamped, dug up, remade to take a large amount of garbage. The first trip I made to this dump was a huge huge bowl, made by many hours on large equipment. Im talking a huge bowl...100 ft deep and probably a Kilometer long by half a kilometre wide....well...in 7 short years(and I think its really closer to 5) this fill has been completely filled. They have since cleared a butt load of trees and started again right behind this spot....and its filling at an alarming rate. Now think...DC has population 12000...can you imagine the garbage from a town like GP? Lethbridge? Edmonton? Calgary? Los Angeles? Tokyo? London? New York? Paris? Its quite scary...something to think about for sure.
