Rick and Peca

The celebration of marriage, It is the joyous union of two people whose comradeship and mutual understanding have flowered into romance and now that I have copied and pasted that I’ll finally shout out a congratulations to Becky and Mike Perrin who tied the loop, knot, noose (kidding!), a couple weekends ago here in my beautiful new hometown of Grande Prairie Alberta.

There wasn’t one person who walked away sober or dissatisfied and in fact it was so romantic it had the Big Show in tears. I’m not sure how many people saw it because we were situated in the back of the hall but there certainly we’re more than a few tears shed, I’m not sure if it was the whole magical union of marriage or if he has a huge man crush on Peca and realized he doesn’t have a chance at going to brown town. I suppose that’s discussion for another time and place.

Peca and the Big Show in Grande Prairie at his wedding

Regardless the wedding was fantastic and I know I’m not alone when I say this but thanks again to both of you for allowing us to come share your celebration by providing an ample amount of booze and watching some of us remove articles of our clothing, make a fool of ourselves dancing, or frankly just pass out because we
celebrated a little to much.

Like most weddings I’m sure some of us wanted it to keep going all night and had the DJ kept playing music it probably would of for some of us. I feel shame for missing out on midnight lunch and more so for not helping Wallace confiscate some food at the end of the night because it sure as shitzel would have been better then the pizza that was ordered, who am I kidding pizza at anytime is glorious.

I’m happy to say I have a lot of ridiculous pictures from the wedding and the after party which turned out to be as equally eventful. I’m not sure what came over everyone by the end of the night but some of us had our shirts or pants off at the dance and for some odd reason it only escalated by the end of the night. I suppose it was perhaps initiated because we felt bad for Rob Dog who ripped the ass right out of his dress pants.

To go with the solid selection of pictures I had my camera in video mode most of the night and regardless of how you approach things (more notably if you’re involved in any videos) you’ll probably really enjoy them or soon realize how much of a loser you were that night. Before you jump to conclusions after seeing yourself let me remind you that everyone was being a loser that night, it’s only now that you’re on the internet that will make you forever enshrined as a wedding drunk. *cough cough* Stilly, Big Show…I’m looking your way.

Mick Jagger made an appearance which was a pleasant surprise!

And so did Hall and Oates who we’re happy to play us Private Eyes which the 15 or so of us thoroughly enjoyed and the rest of party had no friggin idea what was going on. For anyone that sees that video and still has no clue it has something to do with hockey and no substance what so ever, just watch the video below to get a feel for how great it is.

Seeing that again just makes me realize that Becky and Mike should probably have a anniversary party every summer from here on out, what do you guys say?

Anyways pictures and video are coming and congrats again to you hose bags, now we just have to look forward to the next Blades Alumni who plans on taking the plunge.

PS. Knowing full well whats coming, no Reed, Zims, or Big Show I don’t want to go for a smoke.

Agreed. Plans for an annual shin dig of this calibre should be put into motion for years and years to come.
