Tales From a Warmer City

Hope everyone is enjoying the snow up north, looks like I got out of there just in time right before winter arrived. Granted it hasnt been that warm here, a mild 21-23 degrees Celsius…a far cry from the 30 or so it was a month or so ago the last time I was here. Today was the first day of really doing anything after spending such a brilliant day going through customs and the mistake of using Air Canada, if any of you work for AC then I apologize because your company is stupid and you suck.

So the smart plan on Sunday night after being completely hungover and sleeping most of the day was to stay up till we left at 3:30 in the morning and spend some time trying to snooze on the plan. Instead of thinking we had to go through customs in Edmonton we were routed to Calgary instead to catch a connecting flight to Phoenix from there. Not a big deal I thought…that was until we got on the plane. I dont know who was the brains behind the operation but apparently whoever it was must of spent to much time drinking with us the following evening. I guess the person didnt realize that yes we live in Canada and yes it does freeze in December…needless to say firing up the engines moments before take off probably wont dethaw certain important aspects of the plane. Bravo Air Canada. So after waiting an hour they decided to cancel our flight and kick everyone off the plane only to (after another hour) decide that there going to try and reload and rebook the flight. Thankfully by the time they started loading up the plane we got smart and took Westjet and got to Phoenix in the early afternoon…where I soon conked out after not having slept for 28 hours.

But things are back to normal today aside from it being frigging hot instead of cold. Didnt do a whole heck of a lot today aside from looking at houses…cant believe how cheap things are down here. Here we have showhomes selling cheaper then my damn condo in Edmonton, it truly is depressing seeing as you want to sell and buy and move into the sweaty balmy weather, anyone wanna buy a place and have me look after it year round? Anyways I’ve thrown up a few pictures at some of the places I checked out today and will probably have more pictures in the next couple days If I end up going golfing, to the football game etc.

Other then that enjoy, I’e also added some pictures from Peca’s Post birthday, http://www.hotstickybun.com/gallery
